This course, affectionately known as our “honor guard boot camp” is designed to provide public safety organizations the basics to develop your honor guard and color guard units.

Our Honor Guard Boot Camp provides:

  2. Instruction in proper drill movement and techniques;
  3. Leadership enhancement;
  4. Team confidence building.

The course covers the following topics:

  1. Basic drill and ceremonial movements;
  2. Church and casket protocol;
  3. Developing department SOPs for honor guards and color guards;
  4. Public Safety Officer benefits;

Students are evaluated on their command and coordination as well as their drill and ceremonial knowledge and execution.

A formal graduation ceremony marks the end of the week and the rededication of the student’s commitment to Honor, Dignity and Respect.

Based on the daily schedule and extended hours of this course, students are encouraged to take advantage of local/onsite lodging. This will also provide increased opportunity for ceremonial practice and professional networking.
